BEMIDJI, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Erik Lopez faces multiple charges including first-degree criminal sexual conduct and felonies of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. The case has gained attention as it involves the alleged assault of a 13-year-old girl by a man known to her as “Panda,” later identified as Lopez.
The victim reported that she was given a drink and pill, after which she could not fully remember events. She claims that Lopez brought her upstairs, removed her clothes, and had sex with her. According to the criminal complaint, Lopez initially believed the girl was 19 years old but began crying when informed of her true age by investigators.
An omnibus hearing has been scheduled for August 19th in order to address any legal issues before the case proceeds to trial.
