Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing multiple burglary charges after police say he broke into apartment buildings and stole coins from laundry machines.

Kenneth Wayne Blackwell, 57, was arrested on Dec. 15 after a call about a possible trespass.

Dec. 15 call led to arrest

Police responded around 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 15 in the 1200 block of 10th Street North.

A resident reported a man entered a secured basement apartment, police said.

Police say Blackwell ran from officers but was arrested.

Tools and burglary patterns are alleged

Court documents say officers found pry tools during a search.

They also reported two M30 fentanyl pills and drug items.

Police say the evidence linked him to at least seven burglaries from May to September.

Police allege he forced entry into secured buildings and targeted laundry rooms.

Reports say coin machines were damaged and coins were stolen.

Surveillance footage and damage claims

Police say surveillance video helped identify Blackwell in several cases.

Property managers reported damages and losses totaling more than $30,000.
