Fargo (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing a felony robbery charge after an early morning incident. Court documents say a masked suspect used a hammer during the alleged crime.

What court documents allege

Alexander Blessing Hart, of Fargo, has been charged with felony robbery. He also faces misdemeanor charges of criminal mischief and wearing a mask during the commission of a criminal offense.

According to court documents, the call came in on December 13. The time listed was 1:20 a.m. Fargo officers responded to a reported disturbance.

The victim told officers that Hart tried to open the victim’s car door. The victim said Hart then struck the driver’s side window with a hammer.

The victim also reported that Hart hit him in the left thigh with the hammer. The victim said the attack happened during an attempt to steal the victim’s phone.

The victim told officers that Hart took his car keys. The victim said Hart damaged the vehicle again as he left.

According to the report, Hart struck the vehicle’s back window with the hammer. The window was broken, based on the victim’s statement.

Court documents note the victim had an injury. The injury was described as consistent with what the victim reported.

Charges filed

Hart is now charged with felony robbery. He is also charged with misdemeanor criminal mischief. A third charge alleges he wore a mask during the offense.

These are allegations contained in court records. Hart is presumed innocent unless proven guilty in court.
