Williams Man Charged In Felony Domestic Case
Williams (trfnews.i234.me) — A Williams man is facing felony charges after a domestic assault report in Lake of the Woods County.
Thomas James Williams, 58, of Williams, is charged in Lake of the Woods County District Court.
The case was filed in the Ninth Judicial District under court file number 39-CR-26-78.
Williams is charged with felony threats of violence and felony domestic assault.
The charges stem from alleged events between May 15 and May 28, 2026.

According to the court complaint, a family member called authorities on May 28.
The caller reported that Williams was drunk and abusive toward his partner, identified as RM.
The complaint says Bill Williams picked up RM from the home.
RM later told authorities that Thomas James Williams had been drinking and yelling.
She also alleged that he grabbed her arm and left bruising.
During the call, RM said she feared Williams would kill her, according to the complaint.
Authorities later met RM at a residence in Williams.
They reported seeing bruising on her arm.
RM also showed a large cut on her foot.
She claimed that the injury happened about one week earlier.
According to the complaint, RM said Williams threw a cup that cut her foot.

Arrest And Charges
Authorities later went to the home on Chilgren Avenue in Williams.
The complaint says Williams appeared intoxicated.
He allegedly told authorities the argument was only verbal.
Williams also allegedly said he only pinched RM’s arm.
He denied that it was a serious assault, according to the complaint.
Williams was arrested and taken to the Lake of the Woods County Jail.

Each charge carries a maximum sentence of five years in prison.
