NARRATIVE:

On July 13th, 2024, at approximately 8:54 PM, a 2020 Ram 1500 driven by Robert Leraas, 54, of Arthur, was traveling north on Highway 18 when it left the roadway and entered the east ditch, just prior to the intersection of 26th St SE. The vehicle went up the ditch of 26th St SE and vaulted, resulting in a rollover when it landed on the north side of 26th St SE, in the east ditch of Highway 18. The Ram came to rest on the driver’s side, trapping Leraas inside. Casselton Fire cut the roof off the Ram to extricate him. Leraas was transported to Sanford Hospital via Casselton Ambulance. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
