NARRATIVE:
On July 9, 2024, at approximately 1:24 PM, a single-vehicle motorcycle crash occurred on 75th St. NE (Walsh County Road 9), about 4 miles east of Edinburg. The operator of the 2002 Harley Davidson motorcycle, Allen Berg, 63, of Edmore, ND, failed to negotiate a curve in the road. The motorcycle departed the roadway, entered the south ditch, rolled, and came to rest at the bottom of the ditch. Berg was thrown from the motorcycle and sustained serious injuries.
He was initially transported to First Care Health Center in Park River by the Park River Ambulance Service and was subsequently taken to Altru Hospital in Grand Forks due to the severity of his injuries. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
