NARRATIVE:
The Can-Am Defender was traveling northbound on 147th Ave NW when it failed to stop at a stop sign and entered Highway 1804. The eastbound Ford F-150, driven by Jesus Jalomo Salas, attempted to brake but was unable to stop in time, striking the Can-Am on its front driver side. The impact caused the Can-Am to come to rest in the middle of Highway 1804 facing east, while the Ford ended up in the north ditch also facing east.
The Can-Am driver was seriously injured and transported to CHI St. Alexius Health in Williston before being flown to Trinity Hospital in Minot. The driver and passenger in the Ford were not injured. The incident remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol.
