DULUTH, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – We had a water rescue at Park Point in Duluth late Friday afternoon. According to the St. Louis County Sheriff’s Department, a report was dispatched at 5:39 p.m. regarding an unresponsive male in the waters off Park Point. A Good Samaritan and on-duty lifeguards reached the 38-year-old man from Mount Iron, bringing him to shore and immediately starting life-saving measures. As emergency personnel arrived, the lifeguards stabilized the man, who was then transported to St. Luke’s Hospital by Mayo Ambulance. It appears alcohol was a contributing factor. The man was in serious condition at the time of transport. The St. Louis County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Rescue Squad, Duluth Fire, Duluth Police, Mayo Ambulance, and the US Coast Guard.
