Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Michael Alan Bacon, 49, of Frazee has been charged in Becker County District Court with felony fifth-degree criminal sexual conduct and gross misdemeanor offering money for sex.
According to court records, at about 2 a.m. on February 13, 2024, a deputy was called to a Frazee residence on a report of sexual assault. Upon arrival, a woman told the deputy that Bacon, a neighborhood man, had come to her home to see their new baby. Bacon entered the bedroom where the woman was feeding the baby. She was covered with a blanket and asked Bacon to give her a moment to put on clothes. Bacon responded that she did not need to dress, then touched her head and chin, grabbed her bare chest, and began kissing her neck. The woman told him “no,” but Bacon continued, offering her money for sex, starting at $100 and increasing up to $8,000.
An officer spoke to a second woman at the home, who reported that Bacon was there to see the baby and appeared intoxicated. While there, Bacon bargained with her and her partner (the victim) to have sex with him. Bacon sat next to the second woman, rubbed her thigh, and she pushed him away before locking herself in the bathroom. A man in the home reported hearing Bacon’s escalating offers for sex.
On June 6, Bacon was released with conditions including no alcohol or mood-altering chemicals and no contact with the victim. His next court appearance is set for July 29.
