Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – Andrea Lee Kier, 41, of Detroit Lakes, has been sentenced in Becker County District Court for misdemeanor fifth-degree assault following a violent altercation outside the Detroit Lakes Zorbaz.
Felony charges of robbery and third-degree assault were dismissed as part of a plea agreement.
Court records reveal that on June 3, 2023, Kier and two other women attacked another woman. The victim, who claimed her purse was stolen during the incident, required medical attention for a broken nose and a bruised face. She reported that one of the women grabbed her by the hair, punched her, and knocked her down. Kier and a third woman then joined in, kicking the victim in the head and face. During the struggle, the victim bit one of the attackers’ legs.
A witness reported seeing a woman with black hair and a pink shirt punching the victim and confirmed that three women had pinned the victim’s neck against a vehicle’s running boards.
The attackers drove away but were later apprehended by police on Washington Avenue. The stolen purse was found in their vehicle.
