EUCLID, Minn. (trfnews.i234.me) — A Roseau man died Monday after a single-vehicle crash in Polk County.
The crash was reported at 2:08 p.m. Monday, May 18. It happened along 340th Avenue Southwest, near 120th Street Southwest, in Euclid.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office said a Good Samaritan stopped to check on the vehicle. The vehicle appeared to have gone off the road.
The caller found the driver unresponsive and called 911.
Emergency Crews Responded
Deputies arrived at the scene with the East Grand Forks Fire Department and Crookston Area Ambulance. First responders began lifesaving measures at the crash site.
The driver was later identified as Dale Jensen, 65, of Roseau, Minnesota. Officials said Jensen was the only person inside the vehicle.
Jensen was pronounced dead at the scene.
Crash Remains Under Review
Authorities said Jensen was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash. They also said alcohol is not believed to be a factor.
Jensen was transported to the University of North Dakota Forensic Pathology for further investigation.
The crash remains under review by law enforcement and assisting agencies.
Agencies assisting at the scene included the Minnesota State Patrol, Crookston Area Ambulance, and the East Grand Forks Fire Department.
The Polk County Sheriff’s Office continues to handle the case.
