Polk County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – An Erskine area man was injured in a single-vehicle accident over the weekend in Polk County, with authorities confirming that alcohol was a factor.
According to the State Patrol report, 60-year-old Kevin Wayne Haugen was driving a westbound 2001 Jeep when it struck the back of a Highway 59 guardrail at Highway 2 in Knute Township. The incident occurred just before 11 p.m. on Saturday.
Haugen was transported by ambulance to Essentia Health Fosston, where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Troopers at the scene reported that Haugen had been consuming alcohol prior to the crash.
