Narrative:
On June 30th, 2024, at approximately 6:20 PM, a 2011 Chevrolet Equinox was traveling west on 36th St SE when it failed to slow down for the T-intersection at 121st Ave SE. The vehicle went through the intersection, entered the ditch, and rolled over, coming to rest in a wheat field southwest of the intersection. The 13-year-old driver and 14-year-old passenger, both from Valley City, sustained non-life-threatening injuries. The driver was not wearing a seatbelt, while the passenger was. They were transported to CHI Mercy Hospital in Valley City by a private party for treatment. The crash remains under investigation by the North Dakota Highway Patrol. The names of the occupants are not being released since they are juveniles.
