East Grand Forks, Polk County (trfnews.i234.me) — Alexis Irene Ingvalson of East Grand Forks has been charged with third-degree burglary after an incident at Dollar General, according to a criminal complaint filed in Minnesota District Court.

Court records say the charge stems from March 4, 2026, in East Grand Forks. Prosecutors allege Ingvalson entered the Dollar General store without consent and took store property. The complaint says she had already been trespassed from that location in December 2025. That trespass order was still active on the date of the new incident.

What the Complaint Says

According to the complaint, store staff reported that Ingvalson was inside the medication aisle. The complaint says employees and caretakers were with her when authorities arrived. Court documents say damaged or used items included a bottle of Children’s Benadryl, a package of Benadryl capsules, and a Gillette razor pack. The total listed value was $21.75.

The complaint also says Ingvalson was later transported by ambulance for medical care. The court filing describes statements she allegedly made at the scene. It also says law enforcement had several prior contacts involving Ingvalson during the past nine months. Those contacts included welfare and mental health-related calls, according to the complaint.

Felony Charge Filed

Ingvalson is charged under Minnesota Statute 609.582. The specific count is third-degree burglary. The complaint lists the charge as a felony. Court records say the maximum penalty is five years in prison, a $10,000 fine, or both.

The filing also notes that Ingvalson has a pending trespass case in Polk County. As in all criminal cases, a charge is only an allegation. The case must now move through the court process before any final outcome is reached.

Dollar General is a national retail chain with stores across Minnesota. More information about the company is available at Dollar General’s official website.
