Roseau County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Roseau County D.A.R.E. officer has been cleared after a separate investigation into recent allegations. County officials say the case is now closed.
The Roseau County Sheriff’s Office said the matter was reviewed by outside investigators. Officials said the move was made to keep the review independent. The Roseau County Attorney’s Office also requested the outside review.
Outside Review Requested
According to the county, the allegations surfaced recently. Officials have not released details about those claims. They also have not said when the allegations first came in.
The county said the D.A.R.E. officer cooperated with investigators. Officials said he took part in the process on a voluntary basis.
The investigation was handled by Pemberton Law of Fergus Falls and the Marshall County Sheriff’s Office. Those agencies reviewed the matter in full, according to the release.
No Charges, No Policy Violations
After that review, officials said no probable cause was found for criminal charges. They also said the investigation found no policy violations.
That means no criminal case will move forward. It also means no internal policy action is expected from the county based on the findings released so far.
Officials said the matter is now closed. No other public details were released in the statement.
Public Information Remains Limited

Lynn Herre Dunham watching out for someone’s child is not manufactured! There was pictures you could not see and was to several children ages 11 and who knows what else. The line was crossed adding them. Sure maybe have known them from school when he added them and spoke to them it was in his home, the only pictures he should have sent was him wearing his uniform. The mom Cass Mahler was protecting her child and made a report. She did the right thing.
