MINOT, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – An early morning shooting on Sunday, June 23, in Minot, has left three men injured and one in police custody facing multiple felony charges.
At around 3:10 a.m., Minot Police responded to reports of a brawl and gunshots in the Area 10 block of 1st Avenue Southeast. Officers arriving on the scene executed a high-risk traffic stop on a vehicle attempting to flee. They apprehended a 23-year-old suspect from Fayetteville, North Carolina, and confiscated a firearm from his car.
One victim sustained minor hand injuries and was treated and released. Another victim, a 36-year-old man, suffered serious abdominal injuries and required surgery.
The suspect, currently receiving medical treatment for a gunshot wound to his foot, will face charges of Reckless Endangerment and Felon in Possession of a Firearm. He will be transferred to Ward County Jail upon his release from the hospital.
