FARGO (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing several charges after police said he attacked a woman inside an apartment, threatened her with a knife, and fought officers during his arrest.

George Roy, of Fargo, was arrested after officers responded to a disturbance call at a Fargo apartment. A woman inside the home had called for help.

Woman Reported Violent Attack

According to police, Roy answered the door and claimed nothing had happened. Officers then found the woman in a bedroom.

Police said she had a red mark on her left cheek, a possible broken left hand, and a large bruise on the left side of her head.

The woman told officers Roy punched her in the head during the incident. She also said he grabbed a knife and made stabbing motions while threatening to kill her.

According to the report, Roy also threw a ceramic statue at her head. Police described the object as about the size of a football.

The woman also told officers Roy threatened to inject her with bleach. She said he told her he was making her a “last meal.”

She told police she believed Roy was going to kill her.

Roy denied that any physical fight took place, according to the report.

Arrest Turned Violent

Police said Roy became violent during the arrest.

According to the report, he first spit on an officer’s vest. Then, while officers walked him down a stairwell in handcuffs, he spit at another officer.

Police said Roy then threw his full body weight into a third officer. That caused all three to fall about six feet down the stairs.

Evidence Found Inside Apartment

Investigators said they found several items inside the apartment. Those items included a knife, a broken ceramic statue, an empty syringe, a used meth pipe, and an empty bleach bottle in a bathroom sink.

Officers also photographed the woman’s injuries. Police logged the knife and meth pipe into evidence.

Charges Filed

Roy is charged with terrorizing with a dangerous weapon, attempted domestic violence, preventing arrest, contact by bodily fluids, domestic violence, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was being held in the Cass County Jail. Case information can also be tracked through North Dakota Courts. Fargo police information is available through the Fargo Police Department.
