Sally Claire (Martin) Jacobson, 81, of Grand Forks, ND, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, surrounded by her family.
She was born May 29, 1944, to Robert and Mabel (Marshall) Martin in Emerado, ND, and graduated from Larimore High School in 1962. In 1963, she married Marlin “Jake” Jacobson, and together they raised their three children in Grand Forks.
Sally worked at Woolworth’s, Wilkerson Cafeteria, Piggly Wiggly, Christus Rex, and Vaaler Insurance. She was active in 4-H and Emerado Presbyterian Church. Sally was a passionate advocate for organ donation through LifeSource, sharing her story with thousands of students and receiving numerous recognitions.
She is survived by her children: Robert (Zama) Jacobson, Wesley (Dana) Jacobson, Kathleen (Kim) Pedersen; grandchildren Sydney, Reed, Tate, Bryn, Madilyn, Kamilla, Annika; brother Lee Martin. Preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers Danny, Rodney, Steve, and grandchildren Martell, Natalie, Nora.
A Celebration of Life will be held May 29, 2026, at First Presbyterian Church in Grand Forks. Visitation at 1 p.m., service at 2 p.m., followed by interment at Emerado Cemetery.
