Spring Lake Park, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) — A Cass Lake woman faces two charges in Anoka County.
Jessica Mae Brunelle, 22, is charged in Anoka County District Court. The charges follow a reported domestic assault call.
Charges Filed
Brunelle is charged with giving a peace officer the false name of another person. That count is a gross misdemeanor.
She is also charged with fleeing a peace officer by a means other than a motor vehicle. That count is a misdemeanor.
What Police Say Happened
The complaint says police were called at about 6:12 p.m. on August 12, 2025. Officers went to the 900 block of Manor Drive NE.
Dispatch said the people involved were hiding in nearby woods. Police say they saw Brunelle running from the area.
Police say she ignored orders to stop. They say she ran toward the front of a building.
Police caught up with her a short time later. The complaint says she first gave the name “Bryanna Larae Brunelle”.
Police say she also gave a different birth date. The complaint says she later gave her true name.
Brunelle told police she argued with her boyfriend. She denied any physical fight, the complaint says.

Arrest Attempt
Police say they found an active warrant tied to Brunelle. The warrant was out of Beltrami County, police said.
When police tried to arrest her, they say she resisted. The complaint says she threw herself and her items to the ground.
Police say she stood up and pulled away. They say she tried to run again.
The complaint says an officer grabbed her arm. Police say she dropped down and kicked her legs.
Police say an officer held her legs to stop the kicking. The complaint says officers then secured handcuffs.
Case Status
No injuries were listed in the charging document. The case is pending in Anoka County District Court.
Criminal charges are allegations. A defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
