Morrison County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Little Falls man faces two DWI charges.
A vehicle was found in a ditch north of town.

Court records say Terry Edward Schmidt, 58, was in a vehicle off 203rd Street on February 19, 2026.
A deputy responded after a report at about 7:34 a.m.
The deputy arrived a short time later.

The deputy spoke with Schmidt at the scene.
The deputy noted small pupils and poor balance.
The deputy also reported fast speech.

Schmidt told the deputy he recently used methamphetamine, the complaint says.
A portable breath test showed a zero alcohol reading.

Field tests and arrest

The deputy asked Schmidt to do roadside tests, the complaint says.
The deputy reported several signs of impairment.
The walk-and-turn test showed balance problems.
The one-leg stand test was stopped for safety.

Schmidt was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of a controlled substance, according to the complaint.

Search warrant and refusal

A judge approved a search warrant for a blood or urine sample, court records say.
