PAXTON TOWNSHIP, Redwood County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Willmar man was injured Tuesday morning when a concrete truck rolled on Highway 71. The crash happened at 9:18 a.m. on November 25 near 340th Street. The Minnesota State Patrol released the report just before noon.
According to the State Patrol, a 2017 Kenworth concrete truck was traveling north on Highway 71. The driver attempted a right turn onto 340th Street. The truck tipped onto its side during the turn. The vehicle came to rest on its driver’s side. The crash involved no other vehicles.

The Kenworth was driven by Gregory Glen Benson, 55, of Willmar. He suffered non-life-threatening injuries in the rollover. He was taken to CentraCare Hospital in Redwood Falls. The report states that he was wearing a seat belt. Alcohol was not involved.
Responders from the Redwood County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene. The Redwood Falls Fire Department handled safety and clean-up. CentraCare Ambulance provided medical care and transport. Traffic slowed in the area while crews worked on removing the overturned truck.
The concrete truck sustained significant side damage. The incident did not result in any spilled materials, according to early information. Tow crews uprighted the truck before clearing the roadway. Officials have not released further details about the truck’s load at the time.
