Cass County ( trfnews.i234.me ) A Fargo man faces charges after a break-in earlier this month. Court documents outline what investigators say happened during the incident.

According to the report, officers were called on November 13. The call involved a man forcing his way into the home of an ex-girlfriend in Fargo. The victim told officers that the suspect pushed the door open and entered without permission.

Authorities say the suspect was identified as Maurice Antonio Gordon of Fargo. Gordon left before officers arrived. Police began a search based on the victim’s description and information gathered at the scene.

On November 14, officers located Gordon in Fargo. He was arrested without further incident. Gordon now faces two charges. The first is felony criminal trespass for entering the home. The second is a misdemeanor domestic violence charge connected to the same event.

Court documents state that the victim reported fear during the encounter. The home was secure before the incident, and the forced entry caused damage to the door. No serious injuries were reported.

Gordon made an initial court appearance and was advised of the charges. Additional hearings are expected as the case moves forward in Cass County District Court.
