FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing multiple felony charges after police say they discovered drugs, cash, and a stolen firearm during a search of his apartment.

According to court documents, Uyin Alau of Fargo has been charged with three felonies: possession with intent to deliver cocaine while armed, theft of property, and unlawful possession of a firearm.

The case began on Halloween, when officers responded to a disturbance at an apartment complex located at 1940 21st Avenue South in Fargo. Witnesses told police that Alau had been in a fight with another man and later returned with a pistol as the other individual drove away.

Five days later, investigators executed a search warrant at Alau’s apartment at the same address. During the search, police reportedly seized a stolen handgun, 42 grams of suspected cocaine, multiple plastic baggies, and $3,285 in cash.

Authorities say the seized evidence indicates possible drug trafficking activity. Alau was arrested and booked into the Cass County Jail.

Possession of a firearm during a drug trafficking offense significantly increases potential penalties under North Dakota law. More details on firearm-related drug statutes are available through the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives.

Alau’s next court appearance is pending in Cass County District Court.
