HIBBING, MINNESOTA (trfnews.i234.me) — Police in Hibbing are investigating an early Sunday morning murder at the Meadow View Apartments, with assistance from the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA).
According to a statement from the Hibbing Police Department, officers were dispatched at 2:16 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, to the Meadow View Apartments located at 3535 9th Avenue West after multiple reports of gunshots in the parking lot.
Upon arrival, officers found a male victim with gunshot wounds to the chest. Officers and medical personnel immediately provided aid, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension was contacted and is actively assisting Hibbing Police in processing the scene and collecting evidence. Authorities say investigators are currently working to identify a suspect. Police believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
Anyone with information related to the shooting is urged to contact Hibbing Police at 911 or provide tips through official channels. The victim’s identity has not yet been released pending family notification.
