FARGO, ND (trfnews.i234.me) — A suspicious early morning fire in Fargo remains under investigation after one person was taken to the hospital.
According to initial reports, emergency crews were called to a residence in the 400 block of 52nd Street South shortly after 3 a.m. Tuesday. Responders were told to stage away from the home after reports of a man possibly armed with a firearm.
Police officers cleared the scene for the Fargo Fire Department to enter. Firefighters discovered a burning couch inside the residence. They rescued one individual from the scene, who was placed on a stretcher and transported by ambulance to a local hospital. The person’s condition has not yet been released.
Investigators have not confirmed whether the fire was intentionally set or accidental. Authorities continue to look into the cause. Additional details are expected as the Fargo Police Department and Fargo Fire Department review the circumstances.
