Fargo Man Charged After West Fargo Police Chase

WEST FARGO, N.D. ( trfnews.i234.me— A Fargo man is facing multiple criminal charges after a police pursuit through West Fargo on Tuesday afternoon. Authorities say the suspect, Christopher Paul Elliott, led officers on a chase that ended with his arrest after a pit maneuver and brief foot pursuit.

According to court records, the incident began when officers attempted to stop Elliott during a routine traffic stop. Elliott allegedly refused to pull over, prompting a pursuit through city streets. Police say a third pit maneuver successfully disabled his vehicle, but Elliott exited and fled on foot.

After a short chase, officers caught up with Elliott, who reportedly resisted arrest before being subdued. A search of his person allegedly revealed methamphetamine and Adderall, both classified as controlled substances.

Elliott is now charged with fleeing a peace officer, preventing arrest, and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He was taken into custody and booked into the Cass County Jail.

No injuries were reported during the incident, though police say the pursuit caused minor property damage. The case remains under investigation by the West Fargo Police Department.
