Mandan Man Charged With Attempted Murder in Domestic Assault

MORTON COUNTY, ND ( trfnews.i234.me— A Mandan man is facing several felony charges, including attempted murder, following a violent domestic assault that left a victim unconscious, according to court documents.

Police responded to a home just after 5 a.m. on Monday, October 13, after reports of a disturbance. Investigators say 31-year-old Bryce Snow arrived at the residence between midnight and 3 a.m. and attacked the victim, allegedly punching them in the face several times while the victim was holding a child.

Court documents indicate the victim and child were screaming during the assault, prompting neighbors to call 911. Officers say Snow then came up behind the victim and put them in a chokehold, causing the victim to lose consciousness. The victim later told police that Snow had strangled them before, but that this was the worst incident yet.

Police executed multiple search warrants for Snow, his home, and his vehicle. When questioned, Snow reportedly claimed the victim “went crazy and started to attack him,” denying that he had ever struck the victim. Officers noted, however, that Snow appeared to be sweating heavily despite cool temperatures in the low 50s and had small pupils — signs consistent with possible drug use.

Investigators believe Snow may have been under the influence of narcotics during the attack. He was arrested and charged with attempted murder and several related felonies, including domestic violence and strangulation.

Snow is currently being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in Morton County District Court for a preliminary hearing on November 17 at 10 a.m.
