Cass County: Fargo Man Bites Officer During Arrest
Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A domestic disturbance call in Fargo turned violent when a man allegedly bit an officer in the leg during an arrest attempt, police said.
According to the Fargo Police Department, the incident occurred around 5:00 p.m. on October 9, 2025. Officers were called to an apartment at 704 23rd Street South to remove Cante Redstone, who reportedly used to live there but was refusing to leave.
When officers arrived, they attempted to escort Redstone out of the apartment. Police say he resisted and tried to return inside. Officers then moved to place him in handcuffs, but Redstone continued to struggle. During the scuffle, an officer felt a sharp pain in his calf and realized Redstone was biting him on the leg while being restrained on the ground.
Authorities say Redstone was eventually taken into custody and has now been charged with two felonies — one count of simple assault on a peace officer and one count of preventing arrest. His arraignment was scheduled for October 10.
The injured officer was treated for a bite wound. The Fargo Police Department emphasized that assaults on officers will not be tolerated and that resisting arrest can lead to serious criminal charges.
