Beltrami County, MN: Pennington Woman Charged With DWI
BELTRAMI COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A Pennington, Minnesota woman is facing a gross misdemeanor DWI charge after allegedly driving under the influence of methamphetamine in Beltrami County.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Beltrami County District Court, Delores June Fineday, 57, of Pennington, has been charged with Third-Degree DWI – Operating a Motor Vehicle with Any Amount of Schedule I or II Drugs. The charge is a gross misdemeanor punishable by up to 364 days in jail and a $3,000 fine.
The complaint states that on September 22, 2025, a Beltrami County deputy observed a vehicle without a front license plate and with expired rear registration. After the deputy initiated a traffic stop, the driver made abrupt turns before stopping in a driveway and attempting to exit the vehicle.
The driver was identified as Delores Fineday. The deputy noted that she had glassy eyes and was sweating — indicators commonly associated with drug use. Field sobriety tests were administered, and Fineday showed signs of impairment. She later admitted to using methamphetamine within the previous 24 hours.
Fineday was taken into custody, and a urine sample was collected under a search warrant for testing by the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA). Records also show that she has a prior DWI conviction from May 2024 in case 04-CR-24-2687, which serves as an aggravating factor in the current charge.
Fineday remains charged under Minnesota Statute 169A.20, subdivision 1(7), with reference to 169A.26. She is scheduled to appear in court in the coming weeks as the case proceeds in the Ninth Judicial District.
