Leonard Man Arrested After Shots Fired At Campground
RICHLAND COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A Leonard man was arrested following a shots-fired incident at the Sheyenne Oaks campground on the night of September 28.
According to a statement from the Richland County Sheriff’s Office, a caller reported hearing four gunshots at the campground, with one round striking their camper. Deputies quickly responded to the scene.
Authorities say they arrested 56-year-old Kenneth Busse of Leonard. Deputies also located a shotgun, which they believe Busse used to shoot out the window of his own camper.
Busse was taken into custody and booked into the Richland County Jail. Officials say the case remains under investigation, and no injuries were reported during the incident.
The Richland County Sheriff’s Office has not yet released further details regarding possible charges. More information is expected as the investigation continues.
