Cass Co. Suspect Arrested After $100K Truck Theft

Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — Police say a woman has been arrested after allegedly stealing a dump truck worth about $100,000 from a Fargo jobsite on Saturday, September 27.

According to court documents, a red 2021 Ford F750 dump truck was taken from an MP Technologies worksite near 32nd Avenue South and Veterans Boulevard just before noon. Two employees spotted the truck and followed it until it came to a stop at the same intersection.

One of the employees opened the truck’s door, removed the keys, and confronted the suspect, who exited the vehicle. West Fargo Police arrived soon after and detained the suspect, identified as Tami Skadsem.

Supervisors with MP Technologies later provided law enforcement with both photos and video showing Skadsem in possession of the truck. The dump truck was returned to the jobsite without further incident.

Skadsem was arrested and charged with theft of a motor vehicle. The case will proceed through the Cass County District Court.

Authorities continue to remind the public that heavy equipment and commercial vehicles are frequent theft targets. The National Equipment Register provides theft prevention strategies for companies and contractors. More local crime updates are available from the North Dakota Courts Public Access Portal.
