Pennington Co. Level 3 Offender Relocating in TRF
THIEF RIVER FALLS, PENNINGTON COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities have announced that a Level 3 sex offender will be moving to a new residence in Thief River Falls.
According to the Thief River Falls Police Department, Todd Joshua Sorenson, 33, will relocate on Wednesday, October 1, to a home in the 200 block of Markley Avenue North. The Minnesota Department of Corrections has not released a specific address.
Level 3 sex offenders are classified as those most likely to reoffend. Sorenson was convicted in 2012 after providing alcohol to a teenage girl he knew and engaging in sexual contact, including penetration. Investigators said he exploited a position of trust to gain access to the victim. Before that case, in 2011, Sorenson indecently exposed himself in public and directed lewd conduct at three females he did not know.
Officials note that Sorenson has served the sentence ordered by the court. He is described as an American Indian or Alaskan Native male with black hair and brown eyes. He is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 211 pounds.
