Cass Co. Man Charged in West Fargo Gun Threat
WEST FARGO, CASS COUNTY (trfnews.i234.me) — A West Fargo man is facing a felony charge after allegedly brandishing what appeared to be a firearm during a confrontation.
According to the incident report, on September 20, an officer was flagged down by a father who said a man had threatened his son with a gun. Witnesses reported that at the intersection of 7th Avenue East and First Street, a man identified as McClinton Liverman jumped off his bicycle and rushed toward their vehicle. They stated he reached toward his waistband in a way that made them believe he was about to brandish a weapon.
The family drove away before the situation escalated. Officers soon located Liverman nearby. During the detention, police found he was carrying a replica Colt airsoft gun, which he tried to conceal inside his hoodie.
Liverman was arrested and is now charged with felony terrorizing. No injuries were reported in the incident.
The case remains under review in Cass County. Authorities remind the public that even replica firearms can lead to dangerous confrontations and serious charges.
