Coon Rapids ( trfnews.i234.me ) – A Fridley man will spend the rest of his life in prison after being convicted in a Coon Rapids triple murder. On Friday, a judge sentenced 39-year-old Alonzo Pierre Mingo to multiple life sentences following his conviction earlier this year.

Court records show a jury found Mingo guilty of two counts of first-degree premeditated murder and one count of first-degree murder while committing a felony. He was acquitted of an additional count of aiding and abetting first-degree murder. Mingo was also convicted on several other charges but did not receive additional sentences for those counts.

The convictions stem from a January 26, 2024, attack inside a Coon Rapids home that prosecutors described as a planned ambush. Evidence presented during the trial linked Mingo to the shootings through ballistics, eyewitness testimony, and his role in organizing the attack. Three people were killed in the armed home invasion.

At sentencing, the judge handed down two consecutive life sentences without the possibility of parole for the two first-degree premeditated murder convictions. A third consecutive life sentence, with the possibility of parole, was imposed for the felony murder conviction. The sentencing order ensures Mingo will remain behind bars for the rest of his life.

Two co-defendants also face charges in connection with the case, and their trials are still ongoing. Prosecutors emphasized that the sentencing reflects the severity of a crime that left three victims dead and a community shaken.
