Pennington County ( trfnews.i234.me ) – Authorities are investigating the theft of medication from a rural residence in Pennington County. The incident was reported on the morning of Tuesday, August 27.

According to the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched at about 10:19 a.m. to a property located at 17302 110th Avenue Northwest. The caller reported that medication had been stolen from the residence. At the time of the initial report, no suspects had been identified, and the value of the stolen medication was not released.

Deputies collected information at the scene and began an investigation. No arrests have been made, and officials have not released details on whether there were signs of forced entry or if the theft may have involved someone known to the residents.

Medication thefts can pose unique risks, as stolen prescription drugs are often misused or resold. Law enforcement agencies across Minnesota continue to encourage residents to store medications securely and properly dispose of unused prescriptions. More information about safe medication disposal can be found through the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration’s Take Back Program.

Officials also encourage anyone with knowledge about the theft to contact the Pennington County Sheriff’s Office. Anonymous tips can often provide valuable leads in rural investigations, where few witnesses may be present.

The investigation remains active, and additional details could be released as the case develops. At this time, no further information is available.
