Beltrami County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Red Lake woman is facing multiple felony charges after deputies say she forced her way into her ex-boyfriend’s Bemidji home and assaulted him.

According to court records, 34-year-old Michelle L. Jourdain is charged with first-degree burglary, first-degree burglary of an occupied dwelling, and assault. The case stems from a September 6, 2025, incident north of Bemidji on Danielle Lane Northeast.

Deputies were dispatched after the male victim reported Jourdain, his ex-girlfriend, had entered his residence without permission while he was sleeping. He told authorities she began yelling at him before slapping him across the face.

Jourdain was arrested at the scene. Investigators say the unlawful entry into an occupied home, paired with the alleged assault, led to the elevated felony charges. Under Minnesota law, first-degree burglary of an occupied dwelling is among the most serious property crimes, carrying the potential for lengthy prison terms.

No serious physical injuries were reported, but the victim cooperated with authorities during the investigation. Jourdain remains in custody pending her initial appearance in Beltrami County District Court.
