CASS COUNTY, MINNESOTA – TRF News – A Fargo man is facing multiple felony charges after allegedly threatening a Walker police officer with a knife inside a Dollar General store on Friday evening.
According to a criminal complaint, the incident happened around 6:45 p.m. when 21-year-old Dillon Kloehn entered the store wearing only boxers and “acting intoxicated.” Witnesses say Kloehn threw items around the store and repeatedly threatened to stab Walker Police Officer Kent Cleveland.
As the officer backed toward the exit, Kloehn allegedly said, “I will kill you right now,” before rushing toward him. Cleveland fired a single shot, hitting Kloehn and causing a non-life-threatening injury.
Kloehn was taken into custody and is now charged with assault, attempted aggravated robbery, and fleeing a peace officer. The officer has been placed on standard administrative leave while the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension investigates the shooting.
Authorities have not said what led to Kloehn’s behavior before entering the store. The case remains under investigation, and additional details may be released as the BCA completes its review.
