Cass County (trfnews.i234.me) — A Fargo man is facing serious charges after a violent incident at a local treatment center.
Court records show that 38-year-old Eric Deshaun Lytle has been charged with felony aggravated assault, misdemeanor domestic violence, and violation of a no-contact order. The case stems from an incident reported on August 6th at a Fargo treatment facility.
Police were called to the scene after reports of a disturbance. Upon arrival, they found a female victim who alleged that her former boyfriend, Lytle, had attacked her.
According to the criminal complaint, the woman suffered significant injuries during the assault. Police said she lost a front tooth and had a deep cut to her lip. Medical staff at the facility provided initial care before she was transferred for further treatment.
Authorities confirmed that there was an active court order prohibiting Lytle from having any contact with the victim. Violating such an order can lead to additional penalties beyond the initial charges.
The Cass County State’s Attorney’s Office is pursuing the case, and court proceedings are underway. If convicted of the felony assault charge, Lytle could face several years in prison, along with fines and mandatory treatment programs.
Domestic violence remains a major concern in North Dakota, with officials urging victims to seek help and report abuse. Resources are available through the National Domestic Violence Hotline and local shelters in Cass County.
Lytle remains in custody as of this report. A preliminary hearing is scheduled later this month.
