Barnes & Stutsman Counties ( trfnews.i234.me ) — A high-speed chase across two counties Tuesday night ended with a rollover crash and multiple charges for a North Dakota woman.

The North Dakota Highway Patrol says troopers spotted 30-year-old Tessa Schmidt driving recklessly westbound on Interstate 94 in Barnes County before she crossed into Stutsman County. When officers attempted a traffic stop, Schmidt allegedly refused to stop, continuing for about 20 miles at speeds near 125 mph.

Authorities say she lost control while trying to avoid tire deflation strips placed by the Stutsman County Sheriff’s Office and Jamestown Police Department, causing her vehicle to roll.

Schmidt was arrested on charges of fleeing, reckless endangerment, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license. She was treated for minor injuries at Jamestown Regional Medical Center.

A breathalyzer test administered three hours after the crash reportedly showed a blood alcohol concentration of .141.
