CASS LAKE (trfnews.i234.me) https://trfnews.i234.me – A Cass Lake woman has been charged with felony drug possession following a traffic stop in Cass County.
According to court documents, Vydell Bernice Jones, 41, was charged with fifth-degree controlled substance possession after authorities discovered methamphetamine and amphetamine during a July 29, 2025, traffic stop.
Deputies with the Cass County Sheriff’s Office stopped a vehicle for a damaged taillight on Aspen Avenue in Cass Lake. During the stop, officers reportedly observed drug-related items in plain view and searched after a police canine alerted to the presence of narcotics.
Authorities say they located smoking devices, small baggies, and multiple containers with methamphetamine and amphetamine. A purse belonging to Jones allegedly contained additional drugs and her identification.
Jones was arrested and booked into the Cass County Detention Center. The felony charge carries a maximum penalty of five years in prison and/or a $10,000 fine.
