Sibley County (trfnews.i234.me) Green Isle, Minnesota – A 73-year-old pedestrian was killed Tuesday morning after being struck by a truck at a highway intersection in Sibley County.
According to the Minnesota State Patrol, the incident occurred at approximately 7:20 a.m. on July 30 at the intersection of Highway 5 and Highway 25 in Green Isle Township.
A 2016 Peterbilt 367 Straight Truck, driven by Blaine Jeffrey Feil, 35, of Gaylord, was turning eastbound onto Highway 5 from Highway 25 when it struck the pedestrian, identified as Mary Ann Ott of Green Isle.
Authorities confirmed that Ott died at the scene. Road conditions were reported as dry, and alcohol was not involved. Assisting agencies included the Sibley County Sheriff’s Office and the Green Isle Fire Department.
