Marshall County (trfnews.i234.me) — Authorities in northwest Minnesota responded to two separate emergency calls within minutes of each other Thursday afternoon.
The first call involved a report of a man allegedly swallowing razor blades. Police and first responders rushed to the local fire hall but later learned the individual making the report had a history of similar false calls tied to mental health issues. Officials say these repeated incidents have wasted significant emergency resources and continue to be a challenge for responders.
Shortly after, another emergency was reported involving a person trapped under a vehicle. A medevac helicopter was dispatched to the scene. Marshall County Sheriff Jason Boman has been contacted for additional information regarding that incident. Updates will be provided as soon as they become available.
