Becker County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A St. Cloud man has been sentenced to prison following a felony theft case in Becker County involving thousands of dollars in stolen merchandise.
According to court documents, Scott Alan Sandberg, 43, stole more than $4,000 worth of items — including a Helix fish finder, a Stihl chainsaw, and a jacket — from the L&M Fleet store in Detroit Lakes on October 1, 2023. Surveillance footage captured Sandberg leaving the store undetected while an employee was distracted. At the time of the theft, Sandberg also had an active warrant.
On July 8, 2024, Becker County District Court Judge Gretchen Thilmony sentenced Sandberg to 24 months in prison at St. Cloud, with credit for 250 days served. He was ordered to pay $3,774.92 in restitution and fined $200 in court fees.
