Clay County, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A Moorhead man is facing a gross misdemeanor charge after being caught driving on a license that had been canceled as inimical to public safety (IPS).

According to court records, on July 10, 2025, Officer Amaya with the Glyndon Police Department stopped a vehicle (MN plate CKT648) driven by Drake Edwin Tupper (DOB: 06/26/1990). During the stop, Tupper reportedly admitted he did not have a valid driver’s license.

A check of his driving status revealed that Tupper’s license had been canceled-IPS, a serious designation indicating the state considers the driver a risk to public safety. Tupper was taken into custody and transported to the Clay County Jail.

He is now charged with:

  • Count I: Driving After Cancellation – Inimical to Public Safety (Gross Misdemeanor)

If convicted, Tupper faces up to 364 days in jail and/or a $3,000 fine.
