Ball Bluff Township, Aitkin County (trfnews.i234.me) – Four people were injured in a rear-end collision on Highway 65 at Loon Avenue in Ball Bluff Township, Minnesota, at 4:16 p.m. on July 8, 2025.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2016 Chevy Impala, driven by Cierra Ellen Scharnott, 35, of Jacobson, slowed to make a right turn when it was struck from behind by a 2014 Chevy Cruze driven by Race David Hagen, 43, of Hill City.

Scharnott and her two children, Brock, 8, and Joanna, 11, were all transported to Grand Itasca Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Hagen was also taken to the same facility. Notably, he was not wearing a seat belt, while all others were properly restrained.

The road conditions were dry, and alcohol was not a factor. Responding agencies included the Aitkin County Sheriff’s Office and North Ambulance.

I’m Chris Harper reporting for TRF News.
