Beltrami County, MN (trfnews.i234.me) – A Bemidji woman is in serious legal trouble after police say she was caught driving under the influence of methamphetamine, with fentanyl in her car, and on a revoked license.
On May 24, 2025, officers responded to reports of a female driver behaving erratically at Circle K South. That driver, Genevieve Redeagle Smith (DOB: 11/25/2001), later admitted to meth use and showed clear signs of drug impairment, including slurred coordination and erratic speech.
Officers conducted sobriety tests and arrested Smith at the scene. A search of her vehicle uncovered 0.44 grams of suspected fentanyl. Smith also admitted to recently using meth and had visible signs of impairment.
She faces the following charges:

Felony 5th-degree drug possession (fentanyl)

DWI – Operating a vehicle with Schedule I/II drugs in her system

Driving after license revocation
The fentanyl and blood sample have been submitted to the BCA for lab testing.
