Fargo, ND (trfnews.i234.me) – A shocking random stabbing occurred this Saturday morning, July 12th, in Fargo’s 1300 block of Third Avenue North, leaving a man seriously injured and a local woman facing attempted murder charges.
According to Sergeant Michael Anderson of the Fargo Police Department, officers responded at 9:50 a.m. to a call reporting a stabbing. They found an adult male with a stab wound to the neck. The victim had confronted a woman trespassing on his property when she allegedly stabbed him without warning.
Thanks to surveillance footage and neighborhood canvassing, officers quickly identified the suspect as 35-year-old Jessica McCroskey of Fargo. She was located shortly after the attack and arrested without incident.
Authorities state the victim and suspect were not acquainted. The victim was transported to a local hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
McCroskey now faces charges of aggravated assault and attempted murder.
