Marshall County (trfnews.i234.me) – A Drayton, North Dakota man is facing serious charges after allegedly driving drunk with a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit — and nearly causing a head-on crash.
On June 29, 2025, around 4:45 p.m., Marshall County Deputy Troy Brekke responded to reports of reckless driving on Highway 1 near Warren, MN. Witnesses described a black Dodge pickup with North Dakota plates swerving into oncoming lanes.
Deputy Brekke located the vehicle and pulled it over. The driver, identified as Blair Ervin Andreason, 54, of Drayton, ND, initially claimed he was just tired. However, he admitted to drinking and soon failed multiple sobriety tests, even appearing to have urinated on himself.
Field testing revealed severe impairment, and a preliminary breath test registered a shocking .236 BAC. Later testing confirmed a .21 BAC.
A witness later told authorities that Andreason had tailgated her, passed on a curve, and veered across the road multiple times. At one point, he allegedly nearly struck another vehicle head-on near the County Line Liquor Store.
Andreason was arrested and booked at the Pennington County Jail for Third-Degree DWI, a gross misdemeanor due to an aggravating factor — the dangerously high BAC.
