BLAINE, Minnesota (trfnews.i234.me) – A serious crash in Anoka County Tuesday evening left two women hospitalized after their vehicle crashed and caught fire.

Authorities say a 2020 Volkswagen Atlas, driven by 30-year-old Amal Osman of Saint Paul, veered off westbound Highway 10 near Central Avenue at 5:31 p.m. The SUV struck a guardrail and a light pole before igniting.

Osman and her 25-year-old passenger, Bilan Warsame of New Brighton, were transported to Hennepin County Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries. Both women were wearing seat belts. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.

Emergency response came from the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, Hennepin County Fire, and Allina Ambulance. The road was dry at the time.
