Detroit Lakes (trfnews.i234.me) – Bradley Leroy Alt, 53, of Randall, Minnesota, is facing two felony DWI charges after an alarming incident at a Detroit Lakes gas station.
On June 11 at approximately 3 p.m., a Detroit Lakes officer was at Odegaard’s Sinclair when he heard a crash—Alt had backed his blue truck into a rail barrier next to a diesel pump. A witness told the officer they suspected the driver was intoxicated.
As the officer watched, the truck nearly struck a sign while trying to leave. The vehicle was quickly pulled over, and Alt failed sobriety tests. A preliminary breath test showed a .26% BAC, and a subsequent jail test registered .23%, almost three times the legal limit.
Alt was arrested and charged in Becker County District Court. On June 13, his bail was set at $100,000 without conditions and $50,000 with conditions. His next court appearance is July 1 before Judge Michelle W. Lawson.
